2026 Call for performance

DRAC is launching its call for submissions for its 2026 performance program! The centre invites artists and collectives to submit a project. The call is launched in collaboration with the Centre d’art et de diffusion CLARK in Montreal.

With this call, DRAC and Centre CLARK aim to multiply opportunities for the presentation of performance art outside dedicated contexts, in order to support this practice and the artists who devote themselves to it. As such, CLARK is pursuing its efforts to democratize this momentary practice for a variety of audiences, with the support of its Performance Committee made up of artist-members of the Centre. In this sense, CLARK emphasizes the continuity of its support for performance art and its many forms.

DRAC offers a varied program—including both emerging and established artists—that presents a panorama of current artistic practices and a wide range of mediums. Mediation is at the heart of the centre’s mission and is essential to the dissemination of practices to its audiences. DRAC is an exhibition centre member of the Société des musées du Québec, and holds museum accreditation from the Ministry of Culture and Communications.

The submissions must be filled on the online form by January 31, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. at the latest. Only complete submissions will be considered. The applications will be evaluated by Centre CLARK’s performance committee, made up of artists and cultural workers.

• The performance, by virtue of the themes addressed or the media used, must be accessible to all audiences (including young audiences);
• As part of its sustainable development action plan, DRAC is sensitive to environmental issues. Therefore projects that require large-scale construction in space are not encouraged;
• With performance projects, DRAC wishes to make a clear distinction between performing arts projects presented at the Maison des arts Desjardins Drummondville and contemporary art projects presented at DRAC.
